Counter-Strike 2 April 22 Update Fixes Demo Viewer Memory Issue
April 22, 2024 patch notes address a significant memory-related bug in Counter-Strike 2's demo viewing system. Previously, when watching demo files, the game would inadvertently save screenshots of each frame in the computer's memory, potentially leading to excessive memory usage and performance issues. This bug has now been fixed.
This undocumented change improves system performance and memory management when reviewing demo files, particularly beneficial for content creators and players who frequently analyze gameplay recordings.
Note that this was the only change included in this update.
