Premier is a competitive game mode in Counter-Strike that simulates professional-level matches through a map veto system. Teams ban and pick maps before starting the match, and vote for their preferred starting sides.

Core Features:

  • Rounds: 15 per half (CS:GO) or 12 per half (CS2)
  • Match Length: ~50 minutes (Long) or ~30 minutes (Short)
  • Freeze Time: 20 seconds
  • Team Timeouts: 3 x 30-second timeouts per team (CS2)
  • Overtime: Single period with 3 rounds per half (CS2 only)

Active Duty Maps:

  • Ancient
  • Anubis
  • Dust II
  • Inferno
  • Mirage
  • Nuke
  • Vertigo

Key Mechanics:

  • CS Rating shown after warmup (for rated players)
  • $10,000 starting money in overtime
  • $1,000 shorthanded bonus when a player disconnects for 3+ rounds
  • 2-minute technical timeout when a player disconnects
  • CS Rating expires after 17 days and 12 hours of inactivity

Match Rules:

  • Standard competitive rules apply
  • Console damage reports disabled
  • Penalties for abandonment and team damage
  • Automatic technical timeouts for disconnected players
  • Match can end in a tie (15-15 in CS:GO, or after overtime in CS2)

The veto system operates on team majority votes rather than a captain system, with teams taking turns banning maps and selecting starting sides.
