RigoN Parts Ways with BIG in Under Six Months
BIG has announced the departure of rifler Rigon "rigoN" Gashi after less than six months with the organization, marking another change in their roster during a challenging 2024 season.
The German organization has struggled to maintain consistent form this year, dropping from 24th to 38th in global rankings. Despite showing signs of improvement with a top-eight finish at IEM Dallas 2024 and a second-place result at DreamHack Atlanta, BIG has struggled to break into the upper echelons of top-tier tournaments.
RigoN joined BIG following his stint with Bad News Eagles (BNE), where he achieved notable results including 12th-14th place finishes at both IEM Rio and BLAST.tv Paris Majors. However, his tenure with BIG has been cut short as the organization looks to pursue new strategic directions for 2025.

The team, led by Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz, will now need to quickly secure a replacement as they aim to improve their competitive standing and return to the top 10 in global rankings. BIG's decision comes as part of their broader strategy to strengthen their roster and set more ambitious goals for the upcoming year.
The organization acknowledged RigoN's contributions, particularly in helping the team reach the top 16 in Shanghai, but has ultimately decided to move in a different direction as they look to rebuild their competitive edge in the professional CS2 scene.
