Players can customize or hide their HUD (Heads-Up Display) in CS2 using console commands. The HUD shows essential information like health, ammo, and radar during gameplay.

Enable Developer Console First:

  1. Open CS2 through Steam
  2. Go to Settings > Game Settings
  3. Set "Enable Developer Console" to Yes
  4. Press Tilde (~) to access console in-game

Hide HUD Commands:

  • cl_draw_only_deathnotices 1
    (removes HUD)
  • crosshair 0
    (removes crosshair)

Show HUD Commands:

  • cl_draw_only_deathnotices 0
    (restores HUD)
  • crosshair 1
    (restores crosshair)

Useful HUD Customization Commands:

  • hud_scaling 0.85
    (adjust size, 0.5-0.95)
  • cl_hud_background_alpha 0.5
    (transparency, 0-1)
  • cl_hud_playercount_pos 0/1
    (scoreboard position)
  • hud_showtargetid 0/1
    (enemy names above crosshair)

Color Customization: Use

cl_hud_color X
where X is:

  • 0: Normal
  • 1: White
  • 2: Light Blue
  • 3: Dark Blue
  • 4: Purple
  • 5: Red
  • 6: Orange
  • 7: Yellow
  • 8: Green
  • 9: Aquamarine
  • 10: Pink

Note: Avoid hiding HUD during competitive matches as it puts you at a disadvantage.
